An Independent specialist travel company is looking for an Agency Sales Manager/Business Development Manager who is passionate about all things travel. My client is a very niche tour operator and they are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to help develop and grow their presence within the travel agency community covering the whole of the South of the UK. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing the company's market share, looking after dedicated accounts, creating new/nurturing existing business relationships, promoting a positive image to all UK Travel Agents, and representing the company at industry events. This opportunity is very rare as this Tour Operator is not necessarily looking for Business Development experience; they are looking for travel experience, someone who is sales-driven, thrives on seeking out new business opportunities, and is looking for the next step in an already successful career in this area. JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role would suit someone who is sales-driven, thrives on seeking out new business opportunities, and is looking for the next step in an already successful career in this area. We are looking for someone with an overall passion for travel who acts as a positive brand ambassador. Promote the brand to the UK Travel Trade. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key agents at head office and branch level to drive their business to sales with the company. Visit travel agent partners on an agreed sales cycle with the National Trade Manager & provide weekly feedback. Seek new trade partnerships to work with & develop. Train Travel Agent Staff, OTA Call Centres & Homeworkers. Develop regional activity with key agents in line with company focuses. Participate in day-to-day admin tasks including, but not limited to, travel agent queries by email and phone, creating agent offers, and assisting with Trade social media channels. Lead Overseas Fam Trips. Conduct product training sessions either in person or via Zoom/Teams. Present to large audiences at Trade events/conferences and virtually. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

TRAVEL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED - TRAVEL BRANCH MANAGER, TRAVEL CONSULTANT, MANAGEMENT. Confident individual with a positive attitude, presentation skills, and able to speak publicly at trade industry events. With a strong desire to get things right, you must be a natural organiser who is able to multitask. Resilient to changes and setbacks. This is a fast-paced role, so you'll need the ability to stay motivated, remain calm, and clear-minded on the tougher days. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar sales role within the travel industry. Must have own car. Flexible work approach; the role requires some nights away from home, and events/conferences are often in the evening after working hours or at weekends too. THE PACKAGE:
