hybrid role

within the UK Cummins locations. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Market Segment Identification: Collaborate to identify and prioritize high-potential segments and products. Data-Driven Analysis: Gather and analyze data to support strategic decisions. Customer and Industry Engagement: Attend events to gain insights into market trends and customer needs. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and prospect local business opportunities and target accounts. Customer Needs Assessment: Research target accounts to understand their challenges and needs. Account Planning and Relationship Building: Develop and support account plans, maintain business relationships. Business Proposal Development: Contribute to new business proposals with tailored solutions. Market Trend Communication: Communicate emerging needs and trends to shape sales strategy. Responsibilities To be successful in this role, you will need: Effective Communication: Deliver clear messages across platforms and build strong customer relationships. Strategic and Analytical Skills: Conduct market research, analyze data, and develop pricing strategies. Sales and Market Expertise: Communicate product strengths, understand industry dynamics, and integrate customer feedback. Adaptability and Relationship Management: Tailor communication, manage sales pipelines, and develop account strategies. Qualifications Education/Experience: College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, technical or a related subject required, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Significant experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the engine maritime industry. Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the maritime industry. Business Acumen: Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving business targets in the marine sector. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively. Organizational and Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strategic Planning and Project Management: Proficiency in strategic planning and project management. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is often preferred.
