Business Development Manager

is responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships to enhance brand recognition, drive product sales, elevate customer satisfaction, and promote cross-industry collaboration. The role also focuses on expanding the company’s presence through innovative solutions and building long-term client relationships. Strategic Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities for strategic alliances and collaborations that align with the company’s long-term objectives. Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial, and oversee the successful implementation of these collaborations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust, ensure long-term success, and maximise value for all parties. Market Expansion: Explore opportunities to expand the company’s presence within the UK automotive industry and adjacent markets. Develop and execute targeted strategies to penetrate new markets effectively, leveraging market insights and competitive analysis. Stay informed about emerging industry trends, market demands, and technological advancements to drive innovation and business growth. Client Relations: Establish and nurture strong relationships with high-profile clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, delivering exceptional service and resolving any challenges efficiently. Conduct regular client meetings to gather feedback, assess satisfaction levels, and identify opportunities for further collaboration. Business Strategy: Play a key role in shaping the company’s business strategy by providing data-driven insights and recommendations based on market trends. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment with overarching corporate goals. Proactively identify and recommend new business opportunities, ensuring the company stays ahead of competitors and responds effectively to market dynamics. Leadership and Influence: Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences, promoting the brand and identifying potential business leads. Act as a thought leader within the organisation, sharing market insights and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Champion best practices in client engagement and partnership management, ensuring the company maintains its reputation for excellence. Experience to succeed A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a similar role within the automotive industry. Comprehensive knowledge of the UK automotive market, including emerging trends and industry challenges.

A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying complex ideas with clarity and professionalism. Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and provide insightful recommendations. Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and the full Microsoft Office Suite. A valid UK driving license. Willingness to travel as required to engage with partners and clients effectively. Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business. Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus.
