As a Business Development Manager, you will lead the sales process by developing and implementing short-term and long-term strategies to grow nVent Hoffman Design to Manufacturing software (DTM) in the European market. DTM Software is an object-oriented electrical design platform enabling companies to simplify their schematic and panel design process to drive automated manufacturing. The role involves up to 30% travel and a valid driver's license is required. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Build and deliver inspiring software demonstrations showcasing compelling value propositions aligned with critical business goals and challenges. Provide strategic and tactical assistance while representing nVent in client meetings. Improve customer value using in-person and remote interactions by quantifying opportunities to increase efficiencies. Build strong positive relationships with new and existing customers. Work with senior management, sales resources, product management, and marketing teams to align priorities and activities to achieve high-level business objectives. Resolve disagreements by encouraging positive internal and external communication without deviating from our sales strategy. Collaborate with sales and technical resources in coordinating field activities like product demonstrations, proof of concept, and voice of the customer. Partner with local sales resources to assist the customer through their journey from lead-to-order right from prospecting, proposal creation, and proposal presentation to closing and delivery of the entitlements. Align requirements with available software and hardware solutions, create new solution definitions to meet customer challenges using electrical design and manufacturing applications. Deliver webinars, seminars, and other forms of public speaking to educate and create awareness in the market. YOU HAVE: Academic background in Electrical or related areas. Ideally, 5+ years working with Electrical design tools in the Enclosure and automation design space, or hands-on with panel builders and OEMs. Ideally, 5+ years of outside sales/business development activities doing demonstrations, trials, or proof of concepts. Electrical CAD design experience would be a strong advantage (e.g., EPLAN, AUTOCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 series, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, etc.). Ability to develop positive relationships in the assigned account markets to assess trends/conditions, and translate these into increased market share and revenue generation. Goal and result-oriented outlook with the ability to take initiative and act independently with minimal direction. Interact well with multiple stakeholders and able to work in a global environment. You are energetic, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment that strives to exceed expectations! Fluency in English with a strong ability to hold technical (engineering) conversation. Nice to have: Additional language skills e.g., French, Italian. Proven experience in programming or project management is an asset. Experience deploying engineering solutions.
