They are now looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join their team as part of the ongoing ambitious growth journey. The successful candidate will focus on New Sales primarily in UK & Irish markets. My client has realistic expectations in the first years turnover, as the products they sell are very technical, a full technical and product training will be given. They also have an open approach for filling this position. If a candidate has direct experience of selling packaging or selling other products into the healthcare/diagnostic/pharmaceutical markets then a higher salary would be considered and this would be of an advantage.

However, my client is also open to candidates who have previous sales experience in other sectors that are looking for a change in sector. The role will be predominantly Office Based with the option to work from home once a week once established and confident in the market. Role / Responsibilities: A lot of the client meetings with the role being UK / IRE are held via teams / zoom however the role will include client visits (normally once day a week depending on appointments) New Sales, Strategy & Growth: Key role focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the UK and Irish markets. Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients through networking, lead generation, and referrals. Market Expansion: Expand the company's presence in the target regions by identifying emerging market trends and adapting sales strategies accordingly. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (technical, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction. Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with prospective clients, securing deals that align with company goals and client expectations. Travel: Travel within the UK and Ireland for client meetings and industry events as required. Full technical training will be given. Requirements Preferably Bachelor's/master's degree. A science or math's degree would be an advantage. 5+ years of experience in sales/business development. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a cross-functional team. Ideally proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot). Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland and attend trade exhibitions when needed; must have a full driving licence.
