Overview:

The Business Development Manager will join the team working on a hybrid basis from our stunning new office in central London, which means you’ll need to be within a commutable distance of the office to enable you to join the team each week. The role holder will seek new business opportunities across our products, initially Employee Share Plans, but over time, these products will include Mergers and Acquisitions, Share Dealing, Share Registration, and Initial Public Offerings. You will also cross-sell other MUFG Pension & Market Services products, which may include Proxy Solicitation, Investor Analysis, Fund Administration, and Company Secretarial services. What you need:

As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it’s the right role for you too. You therefore need: Knowledge of Share Plans and demonstrable experience working within this area. The motivation and hunger to go out and hunt for prospects, turning them into sales to enhance the MUFG Pension & Market Services portfolio. Self-motivation, resilience, and proactiveness, with a can-do attitude and the ability to influence and persuade a variety of stakeholders, clients, and prospective clients. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mentality. Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, clients, and customers. Strong attention to detail, quick to learn, and strong organisational skills. The drive and desire to succeed in order to reach company and personal targets, whilst being proactive and working well under pressure. Experience working within a share registrar, share plan or employee benefit environment, or related services. Day to Day, you will: Support the Business Development team, initially with a focus on Share Plans and Share Registration, with data and researching. Prospect for new clients and customers, developing your technical knowledge and an overview of MUFG Pension & Market Services products, with a view to identifying cross-sale opportunities. Set appointments for the Senior members of the BD team, attending client meetings, pitches, and conferences when appropriate. Work with the Business Development and Sales Enablement teams to create and update all collateral related to bids, presentations, and client-facing material, to ensure it is fresh, client-centric, and keeps with our go-to-market strategy. Create and develop regular calling plans and marketing activity to target market and business givers. Ensure all opportunities are recorded on SalesForce. Assist in the production of the monthly sales report, ensuring it is produced in a timely and accurate manner and considering the activity of the team, new client wins and prospects, market share statistics, and monetary pipeline predictions. Ensure Customer Due Diligence is completed and all internal procedures are properly adhered to, with records kept up to date at all times. Develop thought leadership content and outbound activity, including event hosting, working with the Marketing team as required to support. Develop your own sales pipeline, run proactive outbound campaigns, and prepare pitches and proposals.
