Our Client is a well-run blue chip contractor who is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of their large social housing division.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Business Development Tender and Proposal Management Relationship Management

Business Development

Manage existing relationships and grow new relationships to achieve growth in line with organisational plans in relation to tenders and frameworks in the social housing sector. Lead the business development function to meet set targets in relation to growth and new business. Build strong relationships with existing and new local authority clients in existing and new geographical areas. Identify new business opportunities via tenders, manage the development and submission of bids to housing associations and local authorities, adhering to the company tendering policy. Work with local authorities and housing associations across all areas of operation, developing strong organisational relationships, positioning our client as the provider of choice in the areas we operate. Project manage the mobilisation and implementation of new business. Lead on Social Value offer via business development plans, tender policy, and bid submissions. Participate and contribute to all management meetings.

Management & Leadership

Be an active and engaged member of the Management Team, positively contributing to the improvement and development of services ensuring clients receive a quality service and that operations remain financially viable. Work productively and collaboratively with colleagues across the wider organisation to successfully deliver business development objectives.

Skills

A proven sales background within Business Development. A passion for exceeding sales targets and set KPIs. Excellent time management skills. Goal-oriented. Problem-solving skills. Relationship-building skills. Experience of tender portals. Full UK driving licence. Excel proficient.
