Do you enjoy working in Photonics, Optics or Lasers? A rapidly growing developer of photonic and optic solutions is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in Southampton. Ideally, you will have studied and worked with Photonics, Optics, Lasers or similar, and have a passion to move your career into a commercial role. As Business Development Manager, your main focus will be selling existing product lines, managing enquiries through to close, and some financial reporting. Working closely with customers, your focus will be to develop both new and existing sales opportunities. On a daily basis, you will be talking with customers via phone and email as well as undertaking customer visits and attending trade shows as required. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will assume responsibility for all customer-facing activities in your designated territory, including providing reports on the market, competitor intelligence, market trends, and sales progress. This role would be ideal for a technically qualified individual who is looking to progress their career in Technical Sales. Experience:

Ideally, you should have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar sales environment. Product training will be given, but an understanding and passion for Photonics, Optics, and Lasers is essential. Qualifications:

As the successful Business Development Manager, you should hold at least a Degree in a relevant subject such as Physics, Optics, Materials Science, coupled with experience working in a similar commercial role. Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and/or Visas will be requested for verification. Candidates MUST hold a full clean UK Driving Licence. Skills:
