a Business Development Manager
to join the
North West & North Wales team
supporting some of our fantastic pubs and bars in and around the
Coventry & Rugby area. About the role The BDM role within Star Pubs sits at the heart of the wider team. It’s considered a true retail and commercial generalist role, supporting approximately 35 pubs in a specific region, utilising the specialist skills and knowledge of your wider team to do so. The role is at the forefront of our relationship with our customers and pivotal to the success of Star Pubs, responsible for working collaboratively with a virtual team, including Pub Operations, Estates and Property teams as the key support roles. Overall, this role is about collaborating with your pub operators to create a great retail experience for the consumer. Working closely with them to encourage innovative thinking that achieves mutually beneficial business plans. You’ll have the opportunity to work with individual operators at the heart of the community, large-scale groups, lessees looking to invest in a large refurbishment and even have the opportunity to recruit new entrepreneurs into your pubs! Who we’re looking for This role is more about developing and coaching rather than sales and would suit candidates who have had previous area/regional operational management experience. Experience in the pub sector would be advantageous but we are also open to hearing from candidates who have some of the skill sets required above but gained outside of the pub industry (retail, hospitality etc.) and who’re as passionate about consumers and customers as we are. If you: Have account management experience. Have passion for or experience in the corporate side of hospitality. Are a strong character, looking to bring passion into your day job. Have a strong amount of empathy and are able to work with diverse communities. Then this could be the role for you! The Good Stuff!
