Business Development Manager - Utility Connections

Job Overview Position: Business Development Manager up to £50k base plus bonus, Company Car or Car Allowance We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join DT Civils Ltd and be instrumental in the growth of our business. This role will involve growing our existing business, leveraging our current client relationships as well as developing new business, collaborating directly with Developers and NAV’s, winning project awards in the construction of Water networks and managing the adoption of Wastewater networks on new housing developments. Responsibilities Identifying new opportunities for self-lay Water development sites and wastewater adoption where required Building and maintaining current relationships with clients and developers Produce sales & pipeline forecasts for review Securing and developing strong new client relationships Build face to face relationships with developers and consultants Develop and implement sales and marketing growth strategies Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to proposal and successful handover to operations Introduction of other utilities and services within the scope of the business Covering our full Operational area (From the midlands to south coast) Reporting to MD Attend the office twice a week Working closely with operations team to understand client requirements and solutions for project delivery Attend regular client face to face meetings Benefits: Up to £50k base salary depending on experience and skills Uncapped commission structure Potential to earn additional commission based on securing ‘off-site’ works 23 days holidays plus bank holidays Christmas shutdown Life Assurance benefit Employer Pension (NEST) Company Car or Car allowance & fuel card Skills and Experience: In depth experience and knowledge of the Water industry 3+ years of experience in Business Development within the Water industry Previous experience / background in the NAV / SLO market Sales and Tender management including client negotiation and commercial risk management Knowledge of other utilities such as Gas and Electric is desirable Exceptional Communication skills IT skills including Microsoft packages A flexible approach to travel work locations About DT Civils DT Civils ltd are a privately owned ltd company with a multi-million pound turnover.
