Business Development Representative

Overview: As a Business Development Representative, your primary role is to drive revenue growth by prospecting, acquiring, and maintaining a loyal customer portfolio within your designated sector. Working in alignment with sales strategy and internal procedures, you will actively promote the company's products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Prospecting: Conduct market research to identify opportunities within the assigned sector. Perform both physical and telephone prospecting to qualify potential customers and generate leads. Sales Development: Prepare thoroughly for customer visits and sales rounds, either independently or with support from suppliers or product managers. Understand customer needs and present products and services, including product catalogues, training programs, after-sales services, and marketing support. Deliver product demonstrations, provide expert advice, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including order placement and closing deals. Propose additional products, upsell opportunities, and pricing offers in collaboration with the Regional Branch Manager or Sales Department. Ensure accurate and timely reporting by logging visit forecasts, customer interactions, and outcomes. Relationship and Portfolio Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty and long-term engagement. Follow up on sales performance and ensure customer invoices are paid in collaboration with the accounts receivable team. Resolve commercial disputes in coordination with the team and escalate significant field events to the Regional Manager. Activity Optimisation: Plan and optimise business trips to maximise efficiency and meet budget guidelines. Analyse sales data and identify areas for improvement to enhance overall performance. Representation and Support: Represent at trade shows, seminars, and other events. Provide occasional support to the internal sales teams as needed. Participate in training initiatives to continuously develop your skills and product knowledge.

Work Environment: Frequent travel within the assigned geographical area, with visit schedules tailored to the size of the territory. A valid driving license is essential. Exposure to various weather conditions while conducting fieldwork.
