The role: The team at Lonza is looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist to join their field team in the UK. You will own the full sales cycle and will be responsible for the entire range of Lonza Cell Biology and Transfection product groups. You will be responsible for increasing sales by selling our end-to-end solutions to our partners within the Pharma & Biotech sector and their collaborators. Key responsibilities: Delivers sales targets and manages the sales funnel from new opportunity generation through closing. Manages all sales activities in the designated territory (identification, acquisition, expansion, and renewal). Prospects new customers and accounts within the territory. Develops product knowledge capabilities to position readily available catalog products as well as custom-manufactured cell and media products. Organize, plan, and schedule time to provide optimum and effective account and territory coverage. Manage interactions proactively to drive customer satisfaction. Coordinates support resources within Lonza to meet customer needs. Share knowledge about applications and trends with the team to coach & achieve high team performance. Key requirements: BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in Life Sciences. Strong communication and solution-oriented skills. Working understanding of cell culture and assay setup. Industry experience within a Business Development environment is essential. Possess the ability to work autonomously from a home-based office.
