Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst

is responsible for creating, maintaining, and deploying all forms of business intelligence and reporting for internal & external consumers. You will work collaboratively with existing data & IT staff, as well as other business stakeholders, with the primary aim of delivering actionable insights & analytics. This position straddles multiple roles, including data modeler, report writer, and report designer. Essential Functions Design, build, and deploy business intelligence reports, self-service reports, and dashboards using a variety of front-end visualisation tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Crystal Reports.

Test and validate underlying report data; convey the key insights or story of the data in a way that is grouped, summarised, or formatted to be easily consumed, understood, and actionable. Provide direction and guidance to other Business Intelligence & Reporting Analysts.

Work with large, messy, and disparate datasets, and conduct ad-hoc analyses to quickly inform critical business decisions. Create ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple places and centralise it in one data source. Review and optimise existing queries written by other developers; perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and BI solutions. Participate in innovative technology evaluation and ensure alignment of business data and analytic practices, following enterprise-level processes and procedures. Develop and maintain operating procedures and support documentation for all reporting infrastructure. Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for all reports and their operation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications/Experience 5 years of experience in IT and BI, creating advanced reports using tools such as Birst and/or Power BI. A minimum of 3 years experience designing, writing, and maintaining Crystal Reports. BI development, planning, design, configuration, coding, and troubleshooting of BI tools. Strong understanding of database systems and data warehouse architecture. Familiarity with ERP database schemas and departmental processes. Experience with Python or other scripting language is of benefit. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven time management skills and the desire to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Capable of communicating with both technical and non-technical individuals. Working hours:
