We are currently searching for an experienced Business Platforms Support Engineer to be part of our Platforms Technology team. The Business Platforms team take primary responsibility for the administration and configuration of our Finance and HR Platforms, supporting business critical processes across Peoplesoft Financials and Sage People. We work closely with our Finance & HR colleagues to provide dedicated business partnering and support to the business. We are focussed on improving integrations between systems and implementations of new modules, tools and software across HR, Payroll, P2P, O2C, Accounting and FP&A functions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business critical team who support our internal colleagues on Platforms integral to the day-to-day running of The Economist Group. Accountabilities

You’ll have a proven track record of successful delivery experience. You’ll be comfortable in presenting concepts to a variety of stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate solution is delivered. You’ll be a hands-on technical engineer to support delivering solutions and driving a culture of continuous improvement and strong communications and collaboration. You’ll be an energetic and creative problem solver with technical curiosity to ensure evolving technology is exploited to solve emerging challenges. You will have experience supporting a delivery plan to agreed timelines. You will play a key role in the production and maintenance of the technical artefacts needed to deliver our solutions, ensuring our solutions meet high-quality expectations. Build strong relationships with HR stakeholders. Be fully aware of forthcoming releases and how the company may capitalise on new functionality. Experience, skills and professional attributes

Essential: Experience of implementing, supporting and developing HR systems such as Sage People, Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft. Strong knowledge of HR processes. Knowledge of the architecture used to support business applications. System integrations experience. Strong reporting and analytical skills. Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and HR Operations. Experience and understanding of the application delivery life cycle. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent spoken and written English. Excellent listening skills. Desired: Experience of a Salesforce Platform. Sage People HR Manager Certification. Sage People Systems Administrator Certification. Experience of Jira for service desk and projects.
