As well as attracting new businesses and organisations to the school, you will also be account managing existing ones, ensuring the school deepens the relationships with key organisations towards being corporate partners. Essentially you will be working with organisations to source recruitment opportunities for our students, experience-based scenarios and projects, guest speakers and manage industry insights and forums. You’ll be working on creating and developing solutions which influence the employment prospects, skills and capabilities of our students and alumni. The role is influential in helping the school climb international rankings and enhance its international standing. Your work will help make our students a success and in turn grow the success and influence of the business school. Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience). Significant business development experience; ideally across international markets. Proven experience in a results focussed and relationship development environment. Experience in project planning and management. Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues, including more senior colleagues. Experience of participating in internal or external networks to share and discuss good practice, develop strong and productive working relationships, to positively influence perceptions of the University and deliver effective collaborations. Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

Excellent spoken and written communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, both internally and externally. The ability to make professional and effective presentations to corporate partners, academic and management staff and postgraduate students. An in-depth understanding of the selection process as well as the needs of recruiters and candidates. Strong digital competence across a range digital devices and apps including Microsoft 365 applications and social media. Committed to continuing professional development to maintain professional recognition. Ability to contribute to planning at an operational level. Self-motivated with a real drive to succeed, resilient and enthusiastic. Ability to operate within a strong team-working environment in addition to working individually. Ability and willingness to undertake national and international travel and work outside of normal office hours, including weekends. Experience in a corporate b2b environment. Business Relationship Management

Develop and build relationships with business across a wide range of sectors, regionally, nationally and internationally and engage them in recruitment and experience-based learning activities across the school. Market and promote the school directly with business, 3rd party organisations and stakeholders using a range of media to increase inbound enquiries to engage directly with the school. Account management of a pipeline of external business, alumni and organisational opportunities and convert and develop towards deeper relationships across the wider school. Meet virtually and face to face with clients and prospects and where required travel internationally to meet with clients. Deliver presentations and consultation activities with corporate organisations to communicate the school offer and identify potential solutions. Identify and convert business opportunities which match the Business Schools strategic business engagement aims that are of benefit to Students, Alumni, the School and the wider University. Maintain records of interactions, utilising internal CRM, as well as working as closely with external engagement colleagues, to manage business relationships effectively. Business Planning

Collect and analyse student and external organisation’s feedback to help define needs and work with EEIP Senior Manager, Programme Directors and EEIP colleagues to design and implement service solutions. Use internal and external data sources and intelligence to analyse the international business environment and devise business engagement strategy planning around this. Transfer business school strategy into operational business engagement planning, identifying key activities necessary to meet requirements for the school, accreditation bodies and international rankings. Produce reports and analyse statistical metrics which highlight employability success which can be used in national and international employability and employer engagement league tables and rankings. Service Delivery

Account management of a pipeline of students and graduates across the post-graduate suite of programmes to support their career progression and professional development, contributing to helping the school climb international rankings. Source recruitment opportunities and manage recruitment events for the schools post-Graduate students and Alumni. Contribute to development of Engagement operational service activities such as recruiter events, Business Projects, Guest Speakers, Treks and sourcing relevant career opportunities that contribute to the personal development and progression of the school’s students and alumni. Work with colleagues across the University to develop sector-based solutions and partnerships and implement skills-based recruitment routeways. Liaise closely with internal programme teams to better understand individual needs and provide solutions through interaction with external organisations, alumni and subject specialists. Provide advisory services to colleagues and wider university stakeholders on the external business environment around the skills, capabilities and learning needs of industry. Involve external organisations and alumni in providing occupational and sector-based insights, to better enable our students and graduates to understand the needs and requirements of business. Create sector based advisory boards, which will help bring in relevant experiential learning and recruitment opportunities, but also contribute towards the development of programmes. Develop processes and procedures to develop and improve the delivery of services between the university, business and students. Manage the service area budget and monitor expenditure to ensure cost-effective service delivery. Specific Requirements
