Tuesday, 7th Jan 2025 We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join one of our well-established clients, who offers a great working environment and has a family-run feel to the company. This is a predominantly office-based role, where you will be working with the Operations/Manufacturing/Engineering teams to help the field-based sales team accelerate customer acquisition, ensure customer retention and growth, contributing to delivering the company’s growth targets. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate day-to-day administration of all aspects of the sales function as well as general business administration. We are looking for a proactive individual who is confident in approaching clients to clarify order information, review contracts, or check on the status of orders. This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining strong customer relationships and can offer fantastic progression, potentially leading to account management or field sales for the right candidate. You will be responsible for: Researching, developing, and managing lead and prospect data. Working closely with marketing to deliver sales materials and campaigns, e.g., social media, eMarketing, direct marketing, presentations, etc. Managing enquiries and supplier quotations, collating information, checking for accuracy, and streamlining the quotation process. Receiving and processing purchase orders, liaising with engineering and operations for smooth and timely handovers from sales to production. Understanding production schedules and maintaining contact with customers and suppliers to provide progress updates, answer queries, and obtain missing information. Maintaining and updating sales and customer records, utilizing various systems, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP. Running monthly and ad hoc sales reports as required. Expediting queries and orders, as well as helping with issue resolution through effective internal liaison. Performing general business administrative and housekeeping tasks. Skills and Experience required: Interest in engineered manufacturing and supply chain management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness. Ability to prioritize, organize, and juggle a demanding workload. IT literate and competent in the Microsoft suite of applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude, working with others to resolve issues. A hunger to grow alongside business growth. Understanding of MS Dynamics Navision is an advantage. Knowledge of working with a sales CRM is an advantage.
