Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies Teacher - ASAP Start - Manchester

A dedicated and passionate Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Manchester. The school would like the successful applicant to join them as soon as possible on a full-time basis. It will initially be on supply for a while & will then become permanent.

This position is four days a week, part-time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.

You will be expected to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff. This includes attending departmental meetings when required, being available for parents' evenings, and planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning.

The opportunity is to work at a school that has good behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lessons and around the school site. Teachers' expectations of pupils' behaviour and achievements are high. There are also wide opportunities for students to engage in the local community and in the school life.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80. Provide a minimum of two professional references.
