GSL Education is in search of a Business Studies Teacher to fill a post at one of our client schools in Sheffield. A Business Studies Teacher plays a vital role in educating students about various aspects of business, management, finance, and entrepreneurship. Job Summary: Develop and plan lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills. Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to enhance the overall educational experience. Role of a Business Studies Teacher: Design and develop the curriculum for Business Studies courses, ensuring that it aligns with national educational standards and meets the needs of the students. Plan and prepare engaging lessons that cover topics such as business operations, marketing, accounting, economics, and ethics. Deliver lessons effectively, using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, including lectures, group discussions, case studies, and practical activities. Provide support and guidance to students who may be struggling with the subject, offering extra help outside of class time if needed. Complete administrative tasks such as keeping records of student attendance and grades, submitting reports to school management, and participating in department meetings. Encourage students to consider careers in business and provide guidance on further education and career pathways in the field. The successful candidate will: Have previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting. Hold original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to teaching Business Studies. Possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program. Have strong subject knowledge in Business Studies. Demonstrate a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
