The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours/session posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58 Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Wednesday, 09:00-17:00 Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible. To start 1st April 2025. An opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Business Support Administrator (21 hours per week, working Monday to Wednesday) in the Council Support administrative team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced administrator, assisting with an interesting and varied range of duties. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Council Support Bookings Team and also ad hoc administrative support to other areas of the team as and when required. Excellent customer service, communication and numeracy skills are required for this post. The preferred candidate should be able to establish good working relationships with all levels of internal and external customers and have proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise their workload and use their own initiative. Excellent IT skills are required, particularly in use of Microsoft Office. Candidates should have a commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service. A high level of flexibility is required as duties may change as the needs of the team changes. Home Working Consideration Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Relevant Qualifications Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
