The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours/session posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58 This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days. Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 08:30-15:30 Friday, 08:30-12:30 To start asap. An opportunity has arisen for a school Business Administrator to lead the administrative function at Loretto RC Primary School which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and a high standard of customer service for all our school community and stakeholders. The role requires excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel to support the financial monitoring and reporting required to assist the Head Teacher to manage the school budget effectively. Applications from experienced administrators who can demonstrate they are confident using spreadsheets to track financial transactions and with some HR or school experience would be welcomed. If you are well organised and can multi-task whilst being able to organise others; feel you are capable of using your initiative under pressure to meet deadlines and can deal with people on all levels this varied role offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a small team and school community. Loretto RC Primary is a medium sized denominational primary school with a nursery class, centrally located in Musselburgh. We consider ourselves to be a God's family school and celebrate the diversity of our school community. Our friendly staff team is small and comprises of teachers, early years practitioners, support staff, catering, cleaning and janitorial staff. We work closely together for the benefit of our pupils and parents. The School Business Admin works closely with the Head Teacher and all staff and is a highly valued and pivotal role in our school. This is a busy office based and varied role with considerable IT and financial systems. Enquiries are welcome. Relevant Qualifications Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience. PVG Information This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
