Buyer Location: Newtownabbey Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8am to 4.30pm / Friday - 8am to 1pm Package: £35,000 - £41,000 RM10666 A dynamic leader in manufacturing, delivery high quality products and services to a diverse range of industries. Role and responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate order placement, manage supplier performance, and maintain inventory at optimal levels. Resolve purchase order discrepancies, validate delivery plans, and track order fulfilment. Update and maintain procurement data in the ERP system, including supplier details, pricing, lead times, and order information. Track order status, manage delivery priorities, and ensure timely delivery, coordinating with suppliers on quality, invoice, and pricing queries. Provide key stakeholders with accurate and timely updates on order and delivery status, supplier performance, and any emerging issues. Conduct regular reviews with suppliers on KPIs, support performance evaluations, and manage returns for vendor credits. Complete customs declarations for Brexit-related shipments via HMRC's TSS and assist in other areas as needed. Essential: Degree or relevant professional certification, or equivalent experience. At least 6 years' experience in end-to-end procurement, stock management, and supplier management in manufacturing, with a proven record of meeting KPI targets. Strong experience with ERP systems and a solid understanding of procure-to-pay processes. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and numerical reasoning, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Self-starter with a focus on results, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a record of meeting targets and deadlines.
