Position is based in Reading with once a month travel on site.

This position will be suited to you if you have had experience within procurement as a Buyer and are able to speak Cantonese/Mandarin.

Role Responsibilities of the Buyer include:

Identify and source high-quality materials and components required for production. Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules and avoid delays. Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to optimise costs. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyse and manage freight costs to control expenses, seeking cost-effective shipping solutions. Monitor order status and proactively address potential delays to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with product development teams to source innovative materials and components for new products. Participate in supplier selection for new projects, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Person Specification of the Buyer:

Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a must. Proven experience of procuring finished goods for an airline (or similar high-volume industry). Ability to negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Driven and motivated individual with a desire to progress in their career.

Salary up to £35,000.
