As part of this graduate scheme here at ASDA you’ll receive an excellent start in the industry through a combination of hands-on experience and structured learning. You will be involved with Product Ranging decisions across all formats. A strong business background is not required for success within the retail environment. Find Your Role Working in the Buying and merchandising team you'll work alongside the commercial food team to help deliver great quality products that allow us to give our customers the best offers, range quality and price. During the 2-year graduate programme you'll rotate through a variety of teams, which gives you the chance to explore different areas and work across buying, merchandising, cat planning and find the area you enjoy most. All of this with a customer centric focus. Your day-to-day will consist of: Promotional planning. Internal sales reporting – Plans to drive sales Improve performance by channel – Big stores, online and Express The buying graduate scheme will give the graduates the opportunity to develop in the below skills: Navigating supply chain disruptions Controlling costs amidst inflationary pressures Planning and executing sales Driving promotional activity What we are looking for A career as a buyer typically suits individuals who possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset. You should enjoy working with data, staying updated on market trends, and building relationships. You need to be decisive, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments where you must make informed decisions to optimise processes and contribute to organisational success.
