About the Role:

You'll be an experienced

C++ Developer

and will be working on our core platform, which serves as a crucial component in the operations of top-tier companies. This role requires a skilled individual with a deep understanding of high-performance, low-latency applications, who can contribute effectively to a wider development team while demonstrating independence and ownership of key projects.

In this role as a

C++ Software Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-throughput, low-latency applications. You will collaborate with a wider team to develop new features and maintain existing systems, while optimising performance and troubleshooting issues in a Linux/Unix environment. Additionally, you will apply strong coding practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.

Required Skills:

At least 3 years commercial experience with

C++

(11/14) Experience tuning and troubleshooting low latency applications Experience with multi-threaded systems Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, Web-sockets, and other networking protocols Hands-on experience with debugging and performance analysis tools Experience with build environments

Desirable Skills:

Commercial experience with databases e.g. PostgreSQL Familiarity with middleware/messaging solutions Experience in Python or LUA Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing Experience with Git version control
