Backend Software Engineer - C# / .net - Reading (Hybrid) - Permanent - £60K
An excellent opportunity to join a growing software business with a well-established customer base, and continue the development and maintenance of their core product. You'll be part of an Agile team, focused on analysis and development of new features, improving scalability and performance of existing code, refactoring legacy code, and reducing technical debt. You'll be hands-on in development and responsible for writing unit tests, and you'll work closely with other team members as well as with offshore QA teams. Responsibilities: Development and maintenance of core product. Analysis and development of new features. Improving scalability and performance of existing code. Refactoring legacy code and reducing technical debt. Writing unit tests. Collaboration with team members and offshore QA teams. Qualifications: Excellent experience of C#, .net framework, SQL, and other relevant technologies. Knowledge of Visual Studio and Git. Demonstrable experience of commercial development. Experience working in agile teams in fast-paced environments. The role is based near Reading, and you will need to be in the office a couple of days a week.
