Cable Manufacturing Operative

Kinetic Manchester are recruiting a Cable making Operative to work for a large manufacturing company in Blackley. You will be working 0600 - 1400 AND 1400 - 2200 rotating weekly.The company have history dating back more than 120 years which makes them a truly world class manufacturer. Their products build the vital infrastructure that supports the way we live and work. Please note, a DBS check will be completed upon offer. As one of the Cable Making Operatives, you will be tasked with:* Ensuring that the line remains operational during the shift* Making minor machine adjustments to ensure the effectiveness of the plant equipment* Maintaining the quality of the product* Identify manufacturing compliance problems* Operate production machinery as per SOP and Process Specification* Complete production sheets e.g. production figures, down time and scrap* Carry out 5S duties* Complete the initial investigations in order to solve process problems using a range of techniques e.g. data collecting, analysis of SPC Chart* Complete the line set up and start up in a responsible and safe manner * Completing any safety check offs* Test completed reels/drums as per inspection schedule and record on production sheet* Update waste management systems, scrap sheets and correctly dispose of scrap To be successful as the Cable Making / Manufacturing Operative, you must have the following:* Excellent practical skills for completing manual work* Excellent communication skills* Ability to follow written and spoken instructions* Ability to work quickly and follow set routine patterns* Awareness of health and safety* Must be flexible and enthusiastic and a team player* Able to consistently work 0600 - 1400 & 1400 - 2200 rotating In return, you will benefit from working with a fantastic company and also:* £11.44ph per hour first 12 weeks* Rate increase, Meal allowance, Shift allowance 13weeks+* 37.5 hours per week* Chance to go permanent * Training* Free Parking This is a sought-after company to work for due to their great reputation so if you are looking to work for a company like that then apply ASAP with an up to date CV!!Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years of experience of delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.Kinetic plc treats all applications with a high degree of care, we review all submissions and will attempt to contact applicants who match the job profile.
