Our client, a steel stockholder based in the Wednesbury area, is currently recruiting for a production supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The right candidate will produce high-quality 3D models and accompanying technical drawings and CNC files, providing sound technical support, knowledge, and estimations to the sales department.
What’s on offer?
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 dependent upon experience
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 16:00

Key responsibilities of the role:
Create 3D models and accompanying technical drawings
Working with production documentation and interpreting customer instruction
Offline programming
Provide timings for the sales department
Quality checking own work
Amend existing parts
Dealing directly with customers when required
Maintain Drawing Office Standards
The successful candidate:
Proven ability to use SolidWorks (or similar 3D package)
Experience with Artube programming package advantageous
Experience with TruTops/Trumpf design and programming package would be advantageous
Tube Laser, flat bed laser, punch press programming experience is desirable
Experience with Radan, Dr Abe, AutoCAD would be desirable
Proven ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings
Proven ability to use measuring equipment
Good time management skills
Excellent level of attention to detail
Eager and willing to learn new skills
Customer service focused
Able to communicate well at all levels both written and verbally.
