I'm looking for a CAD Designer to join BAE Systems in Barrow, working on the Submarines programme as part of the Hull & Outfit team.
What You'll Be Doing
Working on the design and production of the 3D model of the whole boat primary structure Producing 2D drawing outputs to support the manufacturing and production teams in product build and delivery Collaborating as a team, sharing best practice and improving our product and design
Your Skills And Experiences
Previous experience within a design role with a background from a high hazard industry such as Civil, Structures, Marine, Oil & Gas environment/background Ability to use CAD Packages, particularly FORAN, NX and/or SolidWorks Knowledge of techniques, processes and tools for large scale detailed designs of platforms, assemblies, systems and equipment installation
This is a great role for someone with roughly 1-2 years experience and looking to get in with the leading Defence business in the UK.
The salary is £35,000 to £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
