Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of various projects, utilising advanced CAD software to create precise drawings and schematics. Experience with Metalwork would be an advantage. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to deliver high-quality designs.
Responsibilities
Create detailed models using CAD software such as Creo & AutoCAD. Develop schematics and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications. Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments based on feedback from stakeholders. Prepare documentation for design processes, including specifications, reports, and presentations. Maintain an organised library of design files and ensure version control is adhered to. Assist in the training of junior designers in CAD software and best practices.
Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD & Creo. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes. Ability to create accurate schematics and technical drawings. Experience working with metalwork. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges that arise during the design process.
