CAD Designer – Fabricator

My client is looking for a designer fabricator for their busy office, based locally in the Basildon / Laindon area. You will be office based with occasional site visits, working closely with the sales team, clients, architects, and designers. With support, you will produce detailed drawings for external and internal sources. The role: You will be required to: Produce scaled plans, sections, elevations, schematics, and detail drawings. Produce fabrication designs for the factory to create bespoke manufactured items. Produce 3D visualisations. Scan and copy drawings for distribution to designers, clients, and contractors. Make occasional site visits to take site dimensions and gain experience. Have knowledge of general architecture building layouts. Create Sales Orders on Sage from quotation. Raise Order Acknowledgement for sending to customers. Prepare and send all Trade customer quotations. Follow up on all trade customer enquiries to gain relevant information to quote. Create costing sheets for bespoke fabrication including delivery and installations. Contact trade customers to follow up on all quotations sent. Learn to produce quotations on the in-house system incorporated within Sage 200 for fabrication, equipment, and associated site works. Liaise with clients, in-house staff, and external suppliers regarding equipment and details for interfacing with quotations. Follow up with clients regarding quotations to establish whether information is correctly interpreted and that it has been received. Once approved, compile all relevant information, i.e., drawings, quotes, client approval confirmation within a pack for supply to the project co-ordinator. Advise all relevant teams on approval of quotation. Advise accounts team to raise relevant deposit/pro-forma invoice. Requirements: Software: CAD / CAM / Radan / Solidworks Sage 200 (or equivalent) Similar experience within a construction company Must drive due to location Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5pm Free on-site parking Salary is highly dependent on experience: £23,000 – £28,000
