Equans is looking for a CAD Operator to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Auto CAD Operator performs a variety of design/drafting/space planning, room moves and lighting configurations activities including:

Preparing/updating installation drawings for projects Preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings Establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management Managing workload distribution within the CAD department

What will you deliver?

Survey and update existing ‘as built’ drawings Convert drawings to DWG format Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with other teams Ensure documentation is held for all aspects of the O&M manuals Update and maintain electronic filing systems Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation for future reference Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items Establish filing guidelines for drawings Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance

Who are we looking for? Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail Asset management experience Able to interpret complex sketches, notes and technical information Electrical qualifications to NVQ level 3 or higher CAD designing experience Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings Able to work alone effectively and as part of a team Excellent communication skills Ability to think laterally and creatively
