A little bit more about your role…
Assist with CAD/Document Control and general administration, handle/validate and ensure correct storage of electronic documentation and drawings.
Assist with logging and controlling passage of Site Hard copies (commissioning checks etc.) during return to contractor and at As-Installed stage (return to site).
Assist in ensuring document control requirements are being met by contractors, advising/modifying where necessary to bring alignment with the business policy and drawing control requirements.
Develop and utilise Meridian for controlled issuance of documentation (Check in/Check out process).
Ensure all drawings ‘issued’ are returned and revisions are correct to avoid loss of control of records.
Utilise CAD and Raster CAD to assist Applications in development of ‘standard’ and project specific design drawings – panel, interface etc.
Assist with maintenance of relay Spares list.
Assist with developing a look-up system to identify schemes by relay/function type.
Any other administrative assistance as required.
Guide efficiency improvement relating to Document Control and Drawing production.
Liaise with colleagues and staff from other business units and contractors.
What we'll be looking for you to demonstrate…
Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
Experience on CAD and Document Control systems.
Experience working in Electrical Systems or Power Networks industry (preferably on protection systems, but not mandatory).
Good understanding of the H&S for workers and projects.
Advanced analytical skills – able to interpret information and apply judgement to decision-making.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Must be fully fluent and able to work (communicate verbally and in writing) in English.
Ability to communicate well with internal colleagues and external clients and contractors.
Ability to organise workload across multiple projects.
Good planning skills – able to prioritise and hit targets without close supervision.
Advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential, particularly Excel.
Ability to travel to client’s offices and substations across the Yorkshire region.
