Café Barista

Job Title: Café Barista Salary: Pay dependent on experience. Entry level starting a minimum wage then will increase as experience is gained. Location: Newton Coffee House, 79 Newton Park, Belfast (next to bus stop) We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Café Baristas to join our team at Newton Coffee House! As a Café Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee, other beverages and food items, waitering duties, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, great food, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Experience is preferred but not required; we are happy to provide training to the right candidate. Current opening hours: 7 days a week 10:00 16:00, Thurs Sun: Kitchen open 10:00 15:00. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of drinks including espresso-based drinks. Use of the Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) system and take customer payments Keeping Newton Coffee House clean, organised and presentable to our valued customers. Typical waitering activities Engage with customers, taking orders and ensuring satisfaction Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Full opening and closing tasks Other reasonable requests Requirements: Must have a welcoming personality and willingness to learn and take initiative. Passion for customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude. Available for various shifts.
