We are looking for an experienced cafe manager to join the team at National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. The role is dictated by the needs of the business. The successful candidate will have responsiblity for catering events & hospitality under the guidance of the General Manager, and will support the management team in the running of the day to day cafe operations. Would suit a cafe manager looking to branch out into an events role. Only daytime and evening shifts. Only daytime and evening shifts. About the Cafe and Events Manager role: To supervise, manage and motivate the team To make sure that the catering operation runs smoothly To ensure the customers experience is always maintained to the highest standard To continuously work towards improving sales and service Supporting and managing the performance of the team through ongoing evaluations, listening, training, and mentoring Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are always maintained To operationally lead on site events and functions To manage catering logistics, including events admin/file handling, event briefing sheet and service plans To ensure all enquiries and client feedback are managed professionally and in a timely manner About the ideal candidate: Previous experience in a similar hospitality roles is desirable Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire Flexibility to work on events as well as cafe service when required Passion for food and wine is a plus!
