Calibration & Workshop Technician – (Metrology / laboratory/ UKAS)

Wythenshawe - South Manchester



In this role you will be expected to perform all aspects of the calibration & workshop activities. You shall be expected to work closely with the Workshop & Calibration Team leader on all aspects of workshop & calibration plus be open to ideas and be proactive in the implementation of future projects. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Encourage yourself and the team in all aspects of company initiatives from organised meetings to events. Demonstrate and promote the brand values of Endress+Hauser, within and outside of the business.


Main responsibilities:


  1. Daily work within the Workshop & Calibration lab: Repair and calibration of E+H and 3rd Party instrumentation in a logical and systematic manner ensuring that the instrument is returned to the customer in working order, fully tested and in a clean condition.
  2. To ensure a timely response to customer requirements.
  3. Control of workshop spare parts.
  4. Adhere to the department’s standard operating procedures.
  5. Act in a customer orientated and professional manner at all times.
  6. Work closely with colleagues on company Health & Safety issues.
  7. Assist the Calibration Manager & Workshop Team leader in continuous improvements & implementation planning around the Workshop & Lab processes.
  8. Collaborate with the wider Endress+Hauser business processes.


Qualification + Profile


  1. Ideally educated to HNC
  2. Preferably worked in similar environment
  3. Calibration Experience (Preferred)
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Strong ability to embrace teamwork.
  6. Strong customer service skills
  7. Experience working with ISO standards (Preferred)
  8. Strong collaboration skills
  9. Highly motivated
