Are you a senior/ highly specialist family & systemic psychotherapist, currently working in CAMHS or Acute Adult Services, and looking for a new challenge by being part of the new CAMHS service? We are seeking to recruit an experienced and innovative family & systemic psychotherapist to work within the CAMHS Acute Care Service. You will be involved in an exciting new development of the enhanced crisis / home treatment 7 day a week service, as an alternative to inpatient admission for Children and Young People experiencing acute mental health difficulties. You will be part of developing the service to give children and young people living in Sussex a more appropriate and integrated range of services to meet their clinical needs. As the senior/highly specialised family & systemic psychotherapist, you will be part of the clinical team to ensure that young people and their families receive timely, targeted assessment and effective family & systemic interventions. Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Sussex CAMHS crisis and intensive home treatment service, you will be responsible for offering family & systemic assessments, formulations, and interventions. You will support the professional and clinical supervision of colleagues. You will use your extensive clinical experience to assess and support the young person, alongside their parent and carer, in order to enhance their clinical outcomes and quality of life. Delivering interventions and offering training and supervision to colleagues while being integral to multi-disciplinary working are central components of this role. Person specification
Qualifications
Recognised accredited post graduate level training in a psychological therapy as specified Professionally registered Knowledge and Experience
Substantial post-qualification/accreditation experience of specialist psychological therapy (assessment, formulation and treatment) A high level of competence in applying a psychological therapy to complex difficulties Experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties Skills
