Working as part of the Sussex CAMHS crisis and intensive home treatment service you will be responsible for offering family & systemic assessments, formulations and interventions. You will be joining a team which currently includes a Principal Psychologist, Consultant Family and Systemic psychotherapist, and a range of Psychological Professions. You will be supporting the professional and clinical supervision of these colleagues, and CAMHS colleagues as appropriate. You will use your extensive clinical experience to assess and support the young person, alongside their parent and carer in order to enhance their clinical outcomes and quality of life. Delivering interventions, offering training and supervision to colleagues whilst being integral to multi-disciplinary working are central components of this role. With this, there is the opportunity to work across crisis, home treatment and inpatient care embracing a one service, system response to the care of young people in an acute phase who need intensive input from CAMHS. Qualifications
Recognised accredited post graduate level training in a psychological therapy as specified Professionally registered Knowledge and Experience
Substantial post-qualification/accreditation experience of specialist psychological therapy (assessment, formulation and treatment) A high level of competence in applying a psychological therapy to complex difficulties appropriate for this therapy with the client group served by the post Significant experience of working with young people with an eating disorder Evidence of continuing professional development as required by the professional registration/accrediting body Experience of specialist psychological therapy assessment and treatment of clients across a range of care settings and client groups including both adults and children Skills
Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment formulation and management Ability to plan and manage a complex workload with competing demands Skills in clinical supervision of others Disclosure and Barring Service Check
