CAMHS Home Treatment Practitioner - Developmental Opportunity Available

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust

If you want to make a positive change to the lives of those we work with and the services we deliver, and you are looking to be part of an innovative and inspirational team, if you share our passion and drive you could be just the person we are looking for. As the Home Treatment Team is a county-wide team, the ability to drive is essential. The main office base is in the village of Fulbourn. The post holder would be expected to be flexible, with working in the office, across the county, and sometimes from home. This would be agreed through ongoing discussion with the Team Manager. This post is available as a B6 to experienced practitioners or a B5 development post to someone newly qualified or completing their training. For B5, you will gain experience of working within the Home Treatment Team. Once the identified competencies have been met, ideally at the 6-month point, you will be able to progress to a Band 6. However, if you and your mentor feel a longer period is required, that can be agreed. Main Duties of the Job

Whilst in this post, you will be supported and guided to provide high-quality person-centred care. You will be supporting young people and their families/caregivers at a point of crisis when they may be new to CAMHS services or already being supported by CAMHS services but requiring a more detailed level of support and scaffolding. The work will include assessments, risk management, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to the young person and their needs. You will be working within the Multi-Disciplinary Home Treatment Team and alongside our community team colleagues and ward-based colleagues. For the B5 development role, you will manage a caseload under the supervision of a Band 6 or above Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner until you are able to progress to a Band 6. Once a Band 6, you will manage your own caseload, but as with everyone in the Home Treatment Team, you will be supported by the team with your caseload. The ideal candidate will have a strong teamwork ethic but also be able to work autonomously. This post is open to professionals, including newly qualified practitioners who meet the essential criteria. As it is a developmental role, there will be opportunities to learn, develop, and build upon your existing knowledge and experience base. About Us
