We are searching for our next Capital Allowances Senior Manager to join our team to support our continued growth across the UK. Our team is the backbone of our success, and as Capital Allowances Senior Manager you will be responsible for growing our Capital Allowances offering.
A day in the life of a Capital Allowances Senior Manager at CBTax:
This role will allow you to dive into a diverse portfolio of projects, each offering unique challenges and opportunities. As a Capital Allowances Senior Manager, you’ll take part in strategy meetings with fellow senior managers and directors, where you’ll discuss ongoing projects, share insights, and develop plans to drive value for our clients.
You’ll manage client engagements, cultivate strong relationships, and provide tailored advice on tax technical points whilst also overseeing the preparation of Capital Allowance claims for submission to HMRC, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
This includes not just managing the process but also innovating by designing and developing fixed-asset technology solutions for our inbound and listed groups across various sectors. This is a perfect time to leverage your expertise and creative thinking to streamline processes and enhance our service offerings.
Responding to HMRC queries or liaising with them on behalf of clients, offering your seasoned advice and insights is a big part of this role. Your ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively will be crucial here.
Concurrently, you’ll supervise and mentor junior team members, guiding them through their tasks and updating senior stakeholders on project progress.
You’ll also focus on identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities. This involves crafting compelling proposal submissions and exploring innovative ways to expand our client base. Throughout all these activities, your ability to manage tasks independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment will be key to your success.
To be considered for the role:
We are seeking proactive individuals who can independently manage tasks while also collaborating effectively with other Senior Managers, Directors, and Clients.
Candidates should have experience in client portfolio management, understanding risks related to quality control procedures, leading projects, and educating and motivating staff.
A degree or equivalent qualification (CTA and/or ACA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience is required.
Proactive individuals capable of managing tasks independently while also excelling in a collaborative environment. We seek candidates with substantial experience in client portfolio management, a deep understanding of quality control procedures, and the ability to lead projects effectively.
You should be adept at managing a portfolio of Capital Allowance clients, overseeing project delivery, and preparing Capital Allowance claims for HMRC submission.
You should be comfortable responding to HMRC queries, offering advice on tax technical points, and supervising junior team members. Your ability to identify and pursue new business development opportunities, combined with your commitment to working within a team-oriented environment will set you apart as a standout candidate for this role.
