Capital and Systems Accountant North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for a Capital and Systems Accountant to join our busy Finance Team at the heart of a multimillion-pound organisation that provides a wide range of services to over 97,000 residents and 4000 businesses across North West Leicestershire. About the role Our Capital and Systems Accountant will be co-ordinating the financial management of the council’s capital programmes and acting as the administrator of the financial systems that integrate into it. You will be responsible for providing technical capital accounting advice and guidance, playing a critical role in the timely and accurate closure of the year-end accounts, capital monitoring, and forecasting reports. Our ideal candidate This role requires two distinctive skills: that of a Capital Accountant and a Systems Accountant. Our ideal candidate will have strong capital accounting skills and IT skills and will have worked in similar roles. However, there is an opportunity to develop a promising candidate into this role.
