Main duties of the job We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager to join an award-winning Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of a wide range of capital projects from conception through to completion, with responsibility for all aspects of project management as well as managing the appointed external design teams. The post holder will work across the Trust, taking on responsibility for capital and infrastructure projects, as well as smaller projects and charitably funded works. In addition to leading and developing internal colleagues, you will also be able to manage relationships with the Trust's external professional consultants, suppliers, and contractors. You will be comfortable operating in a highly complex, dynamic, and fast-changing environment. Most importantly, you will share the values and ambitions of our organisation. Person Specification
Qualifications/training required Essential Relevant HNC/Bachelor Degree (Engineering, Surveying, Architecture or Project Management) or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience Evidence of recent further professional development NEBOSH Construction Certificate Recognised Project Management qualification to practitioner level (PRINCE2 or APM) Staff management training courses Member of a recognised professional Body (CIBSE, IHEEM, RICS, ICE or RIBA) Training in the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent Previous or relevant experience necessary Essential Detailed knowledge and significant experience of the management and successful delivery of large and/or complex construction projects from inception to completion following all RIBA stage gates. Experience of successfully delivering construction projects within a live NHS acute Trust setting. Experience of managing external design and professional consultants and contractors.
