Shirley Parsons is partnering with a highly respected UK construction company on an exciting opportunity for a Low Carbon Manager. If you're passionate about creating meaningful change and shaping the future of sustainability in construction, this role could be the perfect next step. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the business to reach its ambitious 2045 Net Zero goals while building strong relationships with Senior Leaders and key decision-makers.

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert: Upskill yourself while guiding the business on climate action to lower carbon emissions effectively.
  • Shape Strategic Design: Work with project teams to meet embodied carbon targets, providing recommendations for innovative, low-carbon materials and design solutions.
  • Drive Accreditation: Contribute to the company’s path to PAS 2080 accreditation, a key part of their sustainability roadmap.
  • Engage the Wider Value Chain: Collaborate with external clients and partners, helping them navigate their own journeys toward Net Zero.
  • Lead Workshops That Matter: Design and deliver interactive, engaging workshops across the business and with external partners to drive adoption, efficiency, and real-world results.

  • Proven Expertise: A strong background in reducing embodied carbon emissions within the built environment and driving sustainable change.

  • Self-Management: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing competing priorities.
  • Confident Communication: A natural speaker and presenter, able to run highly interactive workshops and inspire others to take action.
  • Organised and Collaborative: Comfortable liaising with internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear communication at every step.
