PE Global are an approved supply to the NHS via the Health Trust Europe Framework. We are pleased to be working with Chester's largest NHS Trust to support their temporary agency requirements. They have an exciting contract opportunity available for an experienced Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join their team. This is a 6 month contract and they will consider full time or part time hours.

The Role

As an experienced Cardiac Physiologist you will provide a diagnostic Cardiac service to include undertaking routine, complex and specialised procedures as well as completing reports. Provide a comprehensive service for diagnostic investigations (including Pacing and Cardiac Catheterisation) undertaking routine, complex and specialised procedures providing and recording accurate results. Support patients throughout any tests, including effectively positioning any sensors and explaining to the patients the need for them being positioned where they are. Ensuring that any less mobile or frail patients are supported into the correct body positions for any tests to be carried out as effectively as possible. Provide a technician led diagnostic service for GP referrals; submit an Autonomous report directly to the GP with recommendations for patient care and overseeing the same for junior staff. Reporting autonomously of specialised tests for all consultant teams. Be the lead physiologist responsible for Cardiac patients undergoing diagnostic investigations that could evoke adverse reactions. Provide a permanent pacemaker and implantable loop recorder implant follow up (remote and face-to-face) for patients within the CRV service. Administration of medicine on patient group directives as and when required. Reporting without medical input on complex diagnostic investigations unless a Cardiology opinion is deemed necessary. Responsible for the safe and competent use of all equipment and the safety of patients and staff within the department. Ensure adequate levels and rotation of stock is undertaken. What You'll Need:

BHRS or IBHRE accredited / BSc in Clinical Physiology or BTEC in Science / SCST Exam. Extensive experience in Cardiac Angiography, Pacing and loop recorder implantation and follow up. Enhanced DBS.
