If you are interested in embracing a new perspective in Cardiology, we would like to hear from you. Full training in paediatric congenital heart disease will be given. Main duties of the job

Duties will focus on participating or developing in the following key areas: Support the day-to-day management of this highly specialised clinical area (Paediatric Echocardiography), ensuring an effective and efficient tertiary service. Be a competent reporting independent practitioner and perform the full range of Echocardiography techniques in both adult and paediatric congenital heart disease. Monitor and contribute to budget constraints. Responsible for receipting medical products and equipment for the department and stock control. Communicate with medical representatives regarding the development, maintenance, and upkeep of the section. Deputise for other sectional managers as necessary. Provide clinical and professional advice to patients, parents/carers, and colleagues. Participate in the 24hr, 7 days a week on-call service. Provide advice, teach, and supervise other staff and students. Implement, manage, evaluate, maintain, and update protocols within the section. Participate in quality control assurances for the service. Engage and develop the research and audit portfolio of the service. Working for our organisation

The echocardiography service includes Transthoracic Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, TOE, and Fetal Sonography. Knowledge and Experience

Experience of a full range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures. Interest and initiative to develop Echocardiography in terms of research and innovation. Knowledge of access to training courses in own section. Teaching/mentoring experience. Experience of management and understanding budgetary and stock management. Skills and Abilities

Communicative skills in teaching, mentoring, and encouragement. Sympathetic, empathetic, and encouraging manner. Ability to independently manage time effectively. Ability to prioritise workload in both clinical responsibilities and teaching. Adaptability to high-pressure, challenging, and distressing conditions. Qualifications and Training

BSc/MSc Cardiology, PTP/STP or equivalent. State registration (RCCP, HCPC etc), or intention thereof. BSE/Euroecho (or actively working towards). HRUK/BHRS/IBHRE pacing (or actively working towards). Public Sector Language Competency
