Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a small, family-run care home. This role requires effective communication skills, an understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Medication training is preferred. The successful applicant will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent or be at the correct level to work towards achieving the qualification. You will work on a rota basis over 7 days. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their needs are met effectively. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and their families to provide updates on their wellbeing. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Be able to work evenings and alternate weekends. Experience Previous experience in care either in a care home or the community. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is beneficial. A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing excellent care is essential.
