Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other staff members. A background in home care is advantageous, as is the ability to drive to assist with resident appointments and activities. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care. Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans. Support residents in engaging in social activities that promote their well-being and independence. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Experience Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and accessing care plans. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
