Care Assistant Day Shift - Lorimer House Care Home Lindemann Healthcare is a family-run business established in 1995, with over 25 years of experience caring for older people in Edinburgh. Our dedicated team aims to provide specialised care in a safe, homely atmosphere where residents are cared for with dignity and respect. This allows each resident to function at their optimum level, feeling content and 'at home'. We believe that our Care Homes should be therapeutic yet homely environments where individual needs are met with priority. Due to internal promotions, we are looking for the right people to provide the best care. Benefits Include: Sector leading pay from £12.40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications 33 hours per week. Shift pattern is 8am to 8pm including alternative weekends Training and development and long-term career progression Positive working environment Refer a friend scheme Pension Onsite staff parking Lorimer House is located in the Juniper Green area with excellent public transport links Roles & Responsibilities Providing individualised support to meet the daily care needs of residents. Attending to the comfort, personal appearance, and hygiene of residents at all times, including dressing and undressing, toileting, bathing, combing hair, and assisting with dentures and hearing aids. Supporting each resident to remain as active and independent as possible while ensuring their care requirements are met. Maintaining positive and effective communication with residents, relatives, and colleagues. Respecting residents' rights to choose, privacy, and dignity, and being sensitive to each person's individual needs. Making beds and changing bed linen. Escorting residents to shops or approved excursions. Performing any other reasonable task requested by a supervisor or manager within your competence. Carrying out other duties linked to the care of residents as required by the Care Home Manager. Job Type:
