Care Assistant (Days) for Waterhouse Manor in Fordham

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant (days) to professionally and thoughtfully deliver care during any span of duty, ensuring that a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of our residents. To provide care to residents in accordance with their individually assessed needs to a high standard. You must have the following qualifications

Care Certificate NVQ is preferred but not essential We are looking for someone with the following experience

Experience of working with older people Knowledge and use assessment tools Understand care planning processes Use of Electronic Care Planning We are looking for someone with the following technical skills

IT Literate Good organisational skills Good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improve service delivery and outcomes for residents The ideal candidate will have these personal qualities

As a Care Assistant, you will be required to provide the best possible care and support (physically and emotionally) to our residents on a day to day basis. Your responsibilities will include personal care, getting ready for the day ahead, assisting with meals (food and nutrition) and providing day to day social interaction which is just as important as our resident’s physical wellbeing. Being a Care Assistant is a busy role where our resident’s needs will be your top priority. You will be supported by a senior in charge on every shift as well as a hands-on management team who are in the home each day. You will ensure all resident activity is recorded effectively (training will be provided) and any concerns are highlighted where required. You will quickly become part of the care home family and let’s be honest, our team members are what makes our home a great place to live and work. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for care (first and foremost) and those who are keen to be the best in the sector. You will work as part of a dynamic care team, ensuring the home adheres to the necessary requirements and procedures at all times. Your hours of work will be 08.00 – 20.00 and you will be expected to work on a permanent rolling rota of three shifts on, three shifts off. This will equate to an average of 42 hours per week.
