Worthington Lake, Chorley Rd, Standish, Wigan, Greater Manchester, WN1 2XN Full Time Permanent 38.5 hours A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Assistant to join our team at our beautiful home, Worthington Lake, part of the award-winning Millennium Care group. Role Overview: Contribute to an environment of meaningful engagement, social interaction, and positive emotional well-being for our residents. Put residents at the centre of care, promoting choice and independence while building relationships with them. Provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse. Support residents in maintaining skills and personal interests while delivering person-centred care. Maintain skills at a current level and undertake necessary training and development. Contribute to the efficient running of the home. Support residents in maintaining relationships and connections with the local community. Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support residents are followed. Inform the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of residents in your care. Promote and safeguard the welfare of the individuals you support. Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the home. Cooperate with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for staff. Be a role model for other carers and an ambassador for the service. Maintain professionalism and politeness at all times. Work within the Fundamental Standards and understand the regulatory framework governing the service. Commit to achieving relevant qualifications for the role. Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management. Understand and follow policies and procedures relevant to the role. Be open to learning opportunities. Salary:
