As a Care Assistant, we ask for you to care for our residents like they are your own family, attending to their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meals. We welcome applications from candidates who have previously worked as a Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker. We also provide full training and welcome applications from candidates without previous experience but with a passion for care. We are part of a family-run business within the Wood Care Group, and our employees are important to us. We are currently recruiting for 22 hours per week. Become a Key Worker and Make a Difference About You: We’re looking for kind and caring individuals who want a job where they can make a significant difference in people’s lives. You’ll also need: Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a care certificate (desirable but not essential, as all training is provided). Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable but not essential). Experience in leading a team. A committed and organised approach. A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work shifts. Other Duties: Attend staff meetings. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home, participate in appropriate training, and encourage and support staff in their development and training. Understand safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults needing care and support. Ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control. Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times. Provide evidence of any training undertaken. Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation, and work in a safe environment. Complete all training as determined by the home. Your Benefits: Competitive pay rates.
